My Truth

Inspired by my poem and my pastor:

The other night my friend and I laughed about how she was NOT going to befriend our Pastor on Facebook. She said that there was absolutely no way…and when I agreed…she said, “Seriously Neicy, your life is so transparent you could be on a Bill Board.” She had no idea whatsoever that what she had just said profoundly penetrated my heart. Initially I was speechless and then just simply said, “I disagree, but thank you.” She in part said that because after knowing her for about 7 months, I allowed her to stay at my place while I was in Haiti. What can I say? “I trust her.”

Exhale…wow…TRUST used to be so very difficult for me only I had no idea until my marriage ended. When your life is filled with pain, disappointments and fear, I don’t think you label it “trust issues,” I think you just live it as best you can.

But she’s right. My life is so very transparent now that I simply don’t know how to comaflogue it anymore. My past life was an interior disposition of secrets and shame and an exterior disposition of “pretending to be fine.”

I just recently received an Author’s Copy of my second self published book. (details forthcoming) YAY! PRASING GOD once again. He is just too good to me.
(Side note: editing your own work is so not fun…Lol)

But anyway, I let two friends read a poem I’d written titled: Sexual Secrets Exposed. It is indeed “provocative.” Needless to say that their reactions were somewhat speechless…

It was inspired by the Holy Spirit. The woman I used to be has been completely exonerated for all her sexual sins…not only that, all the sins that weren’t sexual. My GOD is faithful and true and because I took the biggest leap of faith in my life by choosing to TRUST Him, He kept His end of the deal. My entire past has been wiped cleaned and MY Truth is no longer a secret. My life is transparent and I am not ashamed of anything that I did back then. If His blood cleansed and redeemed a wretch like me, He can and will do the same for you. If you so desire…

John 4:10 Jesus replied, “If you only knew the gift God has for you and who you are speaking to, you would ask me, and I would give you living water.”
vs. 15 “Please sir,” the woman said, “give me this water!” Then I’ll never be thirsty again, and I won’t have to come here to get water.”

John 8:7 “…All right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!”
vs. 11...And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.”

His promises are so sweet to my ears. Oh how I love Him.

We all have our separate issues. Often Trust, or the lack of it, has some core basis within those issues.

Methinks simply by giving/relating your personal testimony your are spreading The Good Word and letting others KNOW the Miracles that have occurred in your life and just what can bring forth a wondrous change to all our lives. This is a wonderful thing, a needed message... & I have to believe that such faith makes The Creator Smile.

Mad congrats on the publication of your latest book!!!

God is Good, indeed!
