Life vs. Death

The below posting is from my service at Church this morning.  "So much more powerful when spoken, than read here.  The Holy Spirt was "PRESENT."

* * *

Why is it that, whenever things get hard for us, or circumstances get unpleasant, that we abandon our trust that God is:
a) with us
b) leading us
c) going somewhere good with us?

Read that again and replace the us, we and our with me, I and my...

Belief manifests itself by holding tenaciously to God's perspective on the circumstances.  "I refuse to conclude that God is absent from, uninvolved in, or inadequate for this situation.  I insist that He is HERE, He is INVOLVED, He is ADEQUATE."

Belief manifests itself by OUTWARD actions that show respect for God's wishes (obedience).  I will make my life decisions about how to behave based upon what God says He desires for me and from me.

Belief (faith/trust) leads to LIFE; Unbelief leads to DEATH.

Deuteronomy 30:19-20 (excerpts)

so true butterfly.
We manifest our own troubles and then blame it on God. If man believed in him more then life would be easier.

Moses pleaded with the Israelites: "...choose life, so that you and your children may live...listen to His voice, and hold fast to Him."

Why won't we trust Him?

Life is simply not as difficult as we make it out to be. We create a lot of "the mess" ourselves.

Love for a great day my friend!

So true.

It takes us, as a race of humans, a long time to reach that place, & we ultimately embark upon a very arduous journey until we get to that state of mind & spirit that is completely & utterly Faith-based.

A long time is exactly right...all the more reason to PRAISE Him for His patience. I was so long and so late in submitting to His will.

Oh I love Him so!

Thanks for brighting my day with your unannounced visit :-)

Love and peace,
China
