You are without excuse...

We are currently studying Hebrews in my women's bible study class on Thursday nights.  In chapter one alone, I've cried twice.  Beloved friends, can you think of "anyone" that you would want to perish?  Neither can I.

Therefore, repent and be saved.  God's word and Salvation cleanses us and personally, I cannot live without it.  Left to myself, I would surely perish.

2 Timothy 3:1-7

“But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

6 They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, 7 always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth.”

* The character of the world in the last days isn’t very pretty, is it? This is what people without God will be like more and more as the end of days approaches. Read through the text again and underline anything that you “already” see in our culture today.

I see all of that . We didn't learn from Babylon and things are repeating.

We are the "Israelites" Whether we want to admit it or not.

Society is filled with stubborn, hardheaded, ungrateful, selfish, idol worshipping flesh...

Judgement day is indeed near. Lord, we need you!

Very sobering indeed. It's a scary world that we are living in. Very, very dark days where we are calling evil good and good evil.

Sadly we are surrounded by people that meet the characteristics that Paul is telling Timothy. Thank God for the Restrainer - couldn't imagine our world without the Restrainer and when He's removed - cannot even imagine what it will be like. 2 Thess.2: 6-7

As it gets worse and worse, let's lift up our heads; for our redemption draws near.

Love you

Myriam

I for one dear sister, do not want to shrink back in shame when He returns.

Of all my "relationships" this one I've given MY Whole Heart and I want the REWARD of seeing Him face to face :-)

Love for a great day!
