He loved me first, unconditionally
He loves me most for being me
He cares about my hopes and dreams
He walks beside me or so it seems
He forgives my sins and hears my prayers
He protects my heart, beneath the layers
He keeps his word and cannot lie
He says I'm the apple of his eye
He holds my hand and won't let go
He offers Salvation, this I know
