I'm just the messenger

One of today's sermon on WAVA radio was about Submission. The Pastor was speaking from 1st Peter 2:13-17.

If we submit to the Government, Our employers and our spouses, life should be a lot simpler. Call me crazy but I totally agree. Submitting to GOD is a no brainer, but oftentimes, the rest of that stuff is complicated, "Right?"

Well give it a try and see how your life begins to transform. Yes, the Govt has lost it's credibility, but overall, I think the jest of it is the stuff we know we should be doing but overlook: Following the laws, running red lights, paying taxes, not drinking and driving, stealing, etc...

Submitting to our Employer is another easier said than done "motto." But ultimately, it's our duty and responsibility and one of the MAIN reasons we get that weekly "paycheck." Simply put, if we don't want to follow the boss, quit and become the "boss."

Lastly, although I'm no longer married, I truly believe in submitting to your spouse. After spending a lot of time reading the BIBLE, I strongly believe that if a MAN knows His role in the relationship, FOLLOWS Christ and loves his wife, she would in turn SUBMIT to him and our dear old friend, Cinderella wouldn't be the only one with the HAPPY ending. Pray about it and see how the Lord begins to reveal Himself to you. It won't be easy, but it can be done.

Again, just the messenger. References can also be found in the Word of God.

Love for a great day!

Well my Miss Butterfly, like you did on one of my prior posts, I am going to take the 5th on this one. I mean, there's so much to say about the word "submit". It means so many things. And then, if we add the words passive and abuse into the mix, we've really opened pandoras box.

So my friend, be good. And, I still have you on my blogroll, and I need people like you to keep me in check.

Oh, have you heard of a city called Salisburg Md? I have a visitor from that area that drops by almost every day, but they've never left a comment. I'm just wondering who they are and what they are receiving from my humble abode.

I always explain it as being good.

It is sooo easy to be bad and fun until it isn't.....but try being good and see just how hard it is.

Being good is extremely hard.Making the choices we put into the good box can be very painful.

Our church always taught us that the only way the devil can come into your house is if you invite him in and for the most part this is soo true. However today he comes in via TV phone radio music.

He always knows how to reach your ears.

Hey there Carey. Thank you for visiting and not opening "the" box. There is always another direction the conversation or topic can go in and that's one of the reasons submit is such a touchy word for people.

I'm happy to see your pretty face whenever you come by and am touched that you still support my blog. As for your secret visitor, it's about an hour or so from here and haven't a clue who it could be. Much love to you!

My Lady, I totally agree with you. The TV, phone, radio and music is Satan's way of easing into our lives when we're not "paying attention" or at our most vulnerable. My heart truly goes out to the busy and single moms that don't really see what their kids are being seduced with when we can't give them the attention they so crave.

Love ya!

Great message whether I like it all the time or not, it's always timely.

I can't type long. Time to get back to work.

Good post and quite a controversial topic of discussion, well at least i believe. Submission is a serious and devouted...it means that i truly trust the individual to lead me in the ways of Christ. To be a leader, to know his path, to always consider my wellbeing while on that path and not only to dedicate his life to me, but to God, and Christ almighty. Many men have are not there, but i am willing to submit to the one who is.

All good sentiments and well expressed, as usual.

If I trust someone then I have no problem submitting to that person, place or thing. It becomes more of a natural progression on my behalf.

But if I hardly trust anything the person says or does, then all bets are off, and I shy away from whatever it is, no questions asked.

I've seen enough to believe a person for who and what they are, the moment it is shown.

I do trust God, but I understand that I have yet to completely walk and live into that trustful light, as I should.

Or, as you currently are.

One day, hopefully, I will. I pray for such peace.

Good read, as always.
