The Holy Spirit lives in me...

While in Bible study, (Christian Mentoring from A to Z) last Sunday we discussed the letter "H", the Holy Spirit.

Class notes:
In regenerating us the Holy Spirit brings conviction and "tugs" on our heart to draw us to God. When the "light comes on" as you are reading the Bible and you suddenly understand the passage, this is the illuminating work of the Holy Spirit.

A Christian can grieve the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:30) Read Ephesians 4:31, 32; list six sins that will grieve the Holy Spirit, and three attitudes that will prevent it.

Sins that grieve: Bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor,
evil speaking and malice.
Godly Attitudes: Kind, tender hearted and forgiving.

Love, peace and blessings

Great post!

I try my best to live in the 'Godly Attitiudes' Kind, tender hearted and forgiving.

Because I know when I'm living in the "Bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, evil speaking and malice, I feel very disconnected to the Holy Spirit.

Thanks for the post. Even though I know these things it never hurts to be reminded once in a while.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend.

The Holy Spirit just convicted me. I am STRUGGLING with a new employee who was placed in my dpt. He is possibly an idiot savant. He can do massive numbers in his head and has absolutely NO common sense. I've found myself feeling so angry and put upon and mean. I need to let it go and let God work through me to bring him to God. But I hate working with him everyday. Pray that I can release my anger at the management who makes these decisions.

Good morning Solomon and likewise to you. Weekend was great!

All we can do is try. We are human and the Lord is forgiving....

Patty, I'm praying for you and your work. There isn't a place that I know of where there isn't at least one employee who's there to test us! I just did 12 performance e-vals and it was stressful but necessary!

Love for a great day!

I am glad the same Spirit convicts and not condemns. Those are vastly different. One leads to life and the other to death.

I used to get that mixed up and I would wallow in condemnation over something I did, instead of allowing the Holy Spirit to yes, convict me, but bring life and chance through that revelation.

To live with the Holy Spirit invested within your spirit has to be a truly wonderful feeling. I cannot think of a feeling which could possibly compare. Probably because there is no feeling which compares.

Love the Christmas tree. And the big warm smile on your face.

A BIG good morning to you China and a great post for me to read about the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit - God in us - so incredible! The great Comforter promised by our Lord that would come to live in us forever.

Love you

Myriam

The Holy Spirit is affected by our attitude and the way we look at things. :)
