Effective Prayers

Lord, I come to You today with my burden of sins. I hold each transgression up for a second look at my humanity. I place them in Your light for a closer look at Your grace. The practice of asking for forgiveness is important to my relationship with You. First, I am humbled and emptied of self. Then I am cleansed and filled with Your Mercy.

When I pray, Lord, I know You hear me. I become vulnerable in Your presence because I have great faith in Your protection. May You call me righteous, and may my prayers be deemed powerful and effective.

As Human Beings we are all born of sin. Our Heavenly Father knows this and that is why we wants us to come to him in constant prayer and seek forgiveness! He does not keep track, that is a burden we've placed on ourselves. Give it to HIM!

Do you remember the old SNL skits about daily affirmations? "Gosh Darn, people like me!" Well, sometimes I feel like I come to your site for my daily affirmation, but it is Christ filled and so much more powerful than an old SNL skit! Thanks for my daily affirmation - I need it!

I am thankful God's mercies are new every morning and His love is big enough to forgive me, everyday.

So real and so true. Once we ask God for forgiveness, that's it. He is done and never brings it back up or throw it back in our faces.

But at the same time, there are many of us who have a hard time forgiving our own selves. This one of the many areas that we just have to "Let Go and Let God."

Let go of guilt. And let God start the healing process of the wound that the burden of guilt and unforgiveness left.
