The past has no power!

A dear friend of mine is going through a very difficult time right now and I'm asking that you pray for her. She is blaming herself for some issues that happened in the past. The past has about as much POWER as we give it. My past has no power, but it took me a very long time to get to that point. We all "arrive" at our own pace.

Are you carrying something from the past around with you that you really need to release? Sit quietly with yourself and ponder on that thought. Remember, blessings can not flow freely throughout your life if there is something blocking the path....

I pray your friend releases the cares of the past to the LORD. When we hold on to the past (and I did it for many years), it can cripple your ability to walk forward. If you walk forward while looking back you will fall, walk into something or trip up! We've got to focus forward on what the Lord has placed before us.

Satan wants us to live under condemnation and shame from the past but he's a liar and the truth isn't in him. Time to tell him the deal through the power of Jesus Christ and I pray that for your friend.

Bless you dear sister.

It is so hard to let go of what is behind us, to remember that our God is the Great Redeemer and He can even work good, even from our mistakes.

There are always consequences for our actions, but Praise God that He is bigger than those. Time and time again I have seen past miseries shaped by grace and turned into something good. I pray your friend will experience release as she walks forward with Jesus.

Love this. The past has no power. Boy have I learned this lesson the hard way. I'm so thankful for the way God continued to pursue me while I was looking in my rear view mirror.

Lord, you know the person who needs prayer right now. You know their pain and their past and their shame. You still love her. You see beyond her mess and into her heart. You see beauty and you are thankful for creating her. Please Father God, break through her walls and touch her with your healing power. That's the power we lean on, not the power of the past. The power of a great and mighty God. Our Healer. We praise you in advance for the work you are doing even when we cannot see. You are near. In Jesus name, Amen

PS. I'd love to come visit you!!!! Wish I could. I've always wanted to see the cherry trees in bloom. Maybe someday.

The past can be powerful if its power is not broken off. The enemy is known for playing whatever was in the past over and over.

We'll continue to pray for your dear friend and he\she is blessed to have you in her life.

Have a great weekend!

Tell your friend you have some praying warriors on here and she/he is in our thoughts and prayers.

I echo Shaz's comments and would like to add, your friendship in this season is priceless. I'm sure she'll soon be as free as the butterfly.

See ya soon

Thank you all so very much for your visits and prayers. This weekend especially is a difficult one for her. She has trusted in me and I feel that it is my light from Christ that lead her to me. I pray that she soon will have her own light and that through HIS grace, someone will come along and trust in her with what they may be going through.

Love to all for all you've said here.
