Last night I attended "The Last Supper"

When the hour came, Jesus and his apostles reclined at the table. And he said to them, "I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. For I tell you, I will not eat it again until it finds fulfillment in the kingdom of God."
After taking the cup, he gave thanks and said, "Take this and divide it among you. For I tell you I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes."
And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me."
In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you. (Luke 22:14-20, Women's Devotional NIV)

While in Church last night, I could not hold back the tears, this was my first Communion as a New Christian. It was as if I could actually hear Jesus saying, "Do this in remembrance of me." It was truly an incredible and unforgettable experience for me.

Love for a great day!

I was once asked the question ..."how do you know when you have arrived". I didn't get the answer right because I didn't know where I was going. That's the answer, a person has to know where they are going in order to know when they arrive.

I don't know where life's journey has taken you. We've all been somewhere although many will never admit that, not even to themselves. Hence, they stay stuck in their own disguise.

I noticed you used the word "new". That's a good thang. You lead and I'll continue to follow. It appears you are going in the right direction.

Let me stop, I don't want to get to preaching up in here *lol*

Wow, what an awesome experience. And may it always be a heartfelt and touching experience as we remember the Lord's suffering every time we partake of communion. It sounded so real and true and that's exactly the purpose of communion.

I love the entire passage...the words alone are so telling. "I have desired to eat this passover..." and "I will not drink this fruit again until I drink it with you..." - I wait in eager anticipation for the greatest feasts known to mankind. One day!

Love you sis.

I was so touched with this post! To read the enthusiasm and joy of a newly saved Christian reminds us to "feel the joy" and experience the awe we felt when we first came to know Jesus as our personal Saviour! Thanks for that!

On Wed evening our church will partake in a Seder, the passover feast. Communion is part of the Passover Feast - the breaking of bread and drinking of wine in remembrance of Christ who became the perfect and willing sacrifical lamb. I'm looking forward to learning more about the rituals of the passover, what was and still is done to remember the passage of the Israelites out of Egypt and the Christian's passage from sin to eternal life.

MAY THE LORD BE PRAISED! I thank God every day for the journey He is taking you on...what a priviledge to be among many that have followed you along the way!
Every time I partake of the bread and fruit of the vine...which are symbolic of Christs' body and blood, tears flow down my face as I remember the sacrifice Jesus made for undeserving ME!

**WE CAN NOW CRY TOGETHER!**

Love Ya Sis,
Stacye
