I just listened to a web cast at Excellent living.com with Dr. Cheryl Martin and this was the topic. How very interesting... Listen if/when you have some "free" time. It was just an huge eye opener for a single person such as myself. She and her guest speaker, Johnny Parker made reference to James 5:16 "NIV" (Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.)
I found this such an epiphany for me because I've been single now for almost three years and I'm "still" patiently waiting of the Lord to send me a partner. Not any man and not the perfect man. Just a decent, generous, honest, funny, GOD fearing man. Someone who will enhance the life I have and allow me to just be me.
So, if you all pray that prayer for me, he just may be around the corner (LOL). Just kidding, this broadcast touched my heart because oftentimes, we so think we "know" what's best for us and what we think we "want." If we all confess to another our weaknesses, we can come together and pray together for one another. I'm praying for you; each and everyone. Whether it's a life partner, financial security, new employment, the strength to make it another day, health care, a sick loved one or the simple power of forgiveness, that is my prayer for you. And I also know that we can all hold hands from blog to blog and pray really hard, but it will be HIS will and not our own!
Love for a great day!
