Answered prayers

As believers, we often have short memories. We experience answers to prayer, and , not long after, doubt that God can help us again. Like the disciples, we do not understand and our hearts are hardened.

Today, take a moment to make a list of the answers to prayer that God has performed in your life. Include dates and specific examples. Tuck this in your Bible. When faced with a difficult situation, take it out and remember what God has done in your life, and trust that He continues to have authority over every situation.

I have been doing just that this last week. I started with reading Psalm 77 and felt like the writer of that Psalm. I just had so many woes and questions and wondered where God was. Then the writer goes from crying out to God to simply remembering all that He is and has done. That's what I'm trying to focus on.

Thanks for the great post and pressing us on to know HIM more.

Love ya,
Jen

Too many answered prayers to list here (but I'm sure you meant in private anyways!) Sometimes when I feel needy, I force myself to let that go and thank God for all he's done. That always helps to put my life back in perspective and then I can ask honestly for His answers in my life. Good reminder as always!

Good Morning Butterfly,

One thing is for sure and that is God answers all things in (his) time.

The other truth is that it's always on time and just when we need it most.

Stay focused and be blessed every minute every second and every hour of the day.

Good morning ladies and thanks for visiting on these rainy days. I have prepared my list and as you grab hold of the pen, the list is toooo long to write, which is a blessing in itself. HE has done for me more than I could ever post or write!

Love for a great day! Come on May flowers (smile)

A very good thought provoking post. I think I heard the words grateful and gratitude. I believe there was also a hint of listening for the quiet voice.

btw, I checked out your other page ...you are very interesting. I don't know how I missed it. If I am not mistaken, when you first visited, you mentioned my "misunderstood". I didn't know you had poetry in you?

Lets see, a corrections officer that works late hours and writes poetry ...uuummmm. Who has time for dating :-)

I also loved your response to Danie.

Very thought prvoking, being grateful is something that I try to keep at the forefront, because if I forget what He has done for me, then my world seems to start falling in on me.
