Happy Sunday

Finding Sanctuary
We all long for it. Crippled by sin, we enter God's presence with death hanging over our heads. But when we accept Jesus Christ's offer of eternal friendship, we receive eternal sanctuary at the King's table.

Does an invitation to the King's palace fill you with fear or excitement? You may think that everything about you-your background, your body's condition, your emotional state, your past sins-should keep you away from the King's table. But none of that matters to GOD. Regardless of how unworthy you feel, you can know that you have been made worthy because you are a child of God.

It wasn't to long ago that I was afraid of death. That probably sounds really crazy considering my line of work. I initially joined this job because I was board with my previous one. Ooohhh the good old days (smile)

As I've grown into womanhood and actually before I gave my life to Christ, I began to embrace the thought of dying. I had never really had a personal relationship with GOD but I do remember after giving birth to my second and last child (not including my dog) -lol- I would continue to talk with GOD and say that if you have to take me, could you "please" wait until my kids were old enough the make it on their own? And then I remember asking him, (just one more thing) I said, "you know that I don't believe in marriage, BUT, if I decide to do it, please let it be at a point in my life when my son was old enough to give me away; not knowing that two years after, my birth father would enter my life.

Now with my son being almost 21 and my daughter 26, having been married and divorced and the grand finale, "meeting my dad." I told the Lord that I was ready when he was. Little did I know that he had one more gift to give me, his gift of eternal salvation. Last year on May 4, 2008, he gently whispered to me to accept him as my Lord and Savior.

Now I honored to know that one day, I will have a place setting at the King's table. Now if I could just figure out what to wear (smile)

I am so glad you are a daughter of the King! Someday lets dance around that Table together.

I can see that the Lord certainly has blessed you with widsom. Thanks for sharing it and using it so well here on your blog. I am so glad that the Lord can use what we go through for good and to help others.

P.S. I'm an introvert too.

I am filled with pure excitement just imagining the King's palace.

On September 25th, 1997, I too gave my life to Christ and what a memorable day this was and still is for me.

In life any big decisions we make can and will sometimes impact our existence.

This is one decision I am glad to have made and a journey that only God know what he has in store and planned for our lives.

Continued Peace, Love, and Blessings throughout your journey in him.

Can't wait for the greatest party ever. I often imagine the King Himself with a big smile on His face as He takes my hands and walk me to the table. Can I dream a little? (lol).

So much has happened in your life and so grateful that you have found your daddy. All in God's timing.

Good night.

Thank you to all of my sisters in Christ for your continued support and for your spiritual commitments that continues to rub off on me. During my walk with the Lord, I have met so many interesting and loyal people. It warms my heart that HE has blessed us each with a unique gift and that we are coming together to share our journey and our experiences so that we can hopeful heal one another and develop a closer relationship with our Savior. Who knows, we just may write something and save a Soul through this thing called blogging.

Have a joyous day!

That is so awesome! You do have a spot reserved at His table and you will feast, dance and sing with the King. Praise God for His great mercy and Praise God for you. Thank you for sharing your story.

I am also excited about the possibility of your friend starting a blog. That's exciting. I'd love to check it out when she starts it.
