Hope that all is well with everyone. I had a little family drama over the holidays and it really touched my heart. Although I'm a new Christian, I am not perfect and don't try and pretend to be. I do with all my heart try to live a life filled with genuine love and peace. I want everyone to experience what I feel. Since I gave my life to Christ, I have had no sorrow or disappointments (I gave it all to GOD). I believe that your "reaction" to life makes all the difference in the world.
My food for thought on this Sunday is "repentance." I can testify that if you ask GOD for forgiveness with your whole heart and walk away from your sin(s) he will forgive you!
Try it. I swear, it truly works!

Hey free spirit. Nice Post. I can truly relate to what you are saying. This is the first year that I stayed away from family drama and instead had a quiet Thanksgiving with my two sons, their wives and my grand children. It was also the first holiday without my mom but I still have a lot to be thankful for. I am thankful for life today. God Bless you my sista in christ and remember that none of us are perfect and fall way short but the Grace of God always is! PEACE!!
Nice Post... He is faithful and just to forgive us of ALL of our sins. People have a tendancy to think it's just a phase and that the "old you" will eventually come out but God has cast the "old man" into the sea of forgetfulness NEVER to bring it up again.
Sorry to hear you had some drama. Praise God that you saw it for the distration that it was and are able to stay focused. I pray that God's peace will meet you and your relatives whereyou are today!

Thank you both for responding and being so gracious to my openess. I know that all families experience it every now and then but it was disappointing to me that we were having such a great weekend. I love that you admitted you are not perfect. A lot of people become saved and think they are above others. I'm not quite there yet, but i'm working on it. Being a part of your spiritual journey is very inspiring.
