America's fascination with BASEBALL!

Although I'm a free spirited butterfly, deep down inside I'm really an introvert. I like social settings but mostly small groups of people that I love and trust. I like some concerts and mostly dinners with my sisters. I never imagined that I would go to a baseball game on a Friday night (which is outside my pjs and outside my comfort zone) and feel so "excited" and so American. It was my very first game and we (my dad and I) had great seats. He was more excited than I was and he's been to numerous games. I think it was because he was with his baby girl. The lights, the crowd, the cheers, the hot dogs, the funnel cake and even the $7.00 beer was a blast. The city really did a great job on the National's Stadium and I'm proud to say that for once, I'm with the home team! I use to be a die hard Dallas fan and I'm currently a die hard Pistons fan, and now I'm a Washington National's fan. If you haven't been and even if you think you don't like baseball, treat yourself and your family. Word of mouth is powerful, so take my word for it, you'll have a great time!

Wow! The more I read your blog, the more I realize we have a lot in common.

I am a sports lover because of my father. When I was younger we would go to Yankee Stadium every week when they were in town. That was our time together. He taught me about all sports, but the Yankees were OUR team.

My daddy is no longer with me now, but I have so many fond memories of baseball, hot dogs, and cheering for the home team. I will cherish those memories forever.

I don't know if you got to the part where we met for the first time in July 2003 and I instantly went from the big, bad, independent woman who thought she could do it all to the daddy's girl who cried her self to sleep while her husband slept through the night. thanks so much for your visit. Peace and blessings!
