How will you be remembered?

Since I've come to know the Lord as my Savior, I've been asking him on a daily basis to use me. I have so many blessings that I never imagined possible as a young girl. My past was one of happy times; but also a lot of pain and hurtful times as well. In His amazing goodness, the Lord has continued to sustain me.

During my week or so hiatus from blogging, I have been praying, reading, resting and just being still. I swear, I actually felt as though I was on a well deserved vacation, until the dog would bark and scare the "you know what out of me." Sometimes, I truly forget I have a roommate (lol).

Anyway, I have been pondering with the idea of running an Errand Service for Senior Citizens. Well, I did it. My Non-Profit Business launched on September 4, 2009. It's called Rosa B. Davis' Senior Services and I named it after my dear friend, who is 94 years young! Our paths crossed when she was 87 and it was not by accident. It was all a part of God's plan and purpose for (our) lives. She thinks that I do so much for her, but she has no idea how much she has touched my life!

Each time I visit with her and run little errands, I always pause and think, "If the Lord blessed me with His grace for 94 years, would someone do this for me? She has no remaining family and she calls me her best-friend. Imagine that

It is our goal is to provide quality and professional errand services to the seniors in our community. To date, I currently have 5 clients, including my mom (smile)! I am absolutely thrilled. There are still so many little details to iron out, but I tell you, everytime I talk about it, I get goose bumps. It's way better than my dreams to publish a book!

Writing is still and always will be my true passion. But this, it takes me so outside myself and into the work GOD wants me to do! I will still be posting Poetry from time to time, but I don't know how much time I'll give to this particular blog. I have met so many incredible and beautiful people. Friendships that I treasure beyond words. Although I may not always comment, I will still visit various blogs.

I always check my personal e-mails because that's where my family sends their greetings and make their demands for my time (smile). Call me weird, but I don't check my voicemail but I do check e-mails. So, if you just want to drop a hello or add me to your address book, you can find me at aluv4poetry@yahoo.com

The Lord will fulfill (his purpose) for me; your love, O Lord, endures forever-do not abandon the works of your hands.
