National Poetry Month Continues...

I have committed to writing a poem a day in my Butterfly journal, and so far, I've written 29 poems. What can I say?  The pen is an extension of my right hand :-)

Wrote this one last night...

* Crazy or Content

i would rather have two scoops of chocolate almond ice cream

ice cold milk and my favorite bowl of cereal

a really good crab cake and sweet potato fries

a good book and a second cup of coffee

a hot day at the beach with lots of sunshine

a hot shower followed by my favorite pj's

or blank pages and one amazing ink pen

than to make love to someone who is not my husband

Simple pleasures
the best.
They sometimes
supersede meaningless
sex... Erect such
sensations that
surpass scenes of bliss-
ful silliness...
They reach deeper
coax, tap, stroke...
touch some
sweeter spot
within us
beyond even
the carnal.

Very nice.

Such simple pleasures that most of us enjoy.

The shower and the pajamas thing.....that'll sell when bread don't.

Hi Reggie,
Praying all is well with you.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

Hope you feel the warmth of the sun on your face :-)

Love, peace and blessings

Love, love the poem and the truth therein. So very well said.

Now I must say, I would do 'just' about anything for a really good crab cake - from Maryland of course.

Can't wait for my book to arrive.
