My Toy Box

I'm a 48 year old big kid

Simple Abundance: This is one of my favorite books and there are 365 days of devotion about living a simplistic and authentic life. March 6th says to create a toy box.

In my toy box there are:
Colored markers
Blank journals
3x5 index cards
Ink pens
Coloring books
Butterfly stickers
Blank greeting cards
My address book
A book of poetry
Scented candles
My favorite devotional book
iPod play list
Max' green stuffed frog
My butterfly doll
Old & new photos
Free time and
My imagination

I will always be a kid at heart.

Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven…”
Matthew 18:3-4

I like this very much... because it reveals so many things about you, my friend. It's imperative that we never lose the child within us all. It seems as we mature we think we have to abandon that which made us young, naive and open to vulnerability. WRONG! When we close those things off, we tend to harden, become suspicious & we forget our basic humanity.

Methinks My Little Kid (or keeeid as I call all children) resides inside of my laughter. He is or can be very silly... but his spirit is pure & that's what I like most about him. Best of all, he always snatches JOY!

I was once a lost, young, teenage mom. My youth vanished when my parents divorced.

When we grow up...we must let go of the past and create the lives we want. I want pure unending joy and laughter...and lots and lots of color :-)

I bet my laugher trumps dad says that my laughter and my smile are infectious. Lol

Thanks for visiting on this sunny and gorgeous day,
Love and peace-China

Oh my house is full of toys and things to do.
I wouldn;t be able to live otherwise
It becomes boring. I can't figure out people who spend all their time in bars and such when there is so many other things to do.
Meaningful things.

I'm with you My Lady, if I couldn't have my "happy stuff" life would be sad and oh so blah.

I have lots of other fun stuff but the post would have went on for days. For instance, I don't cook and my kitchen looks like a Kindergarten classroom. Happiness all over the place :-)

Some of my things I've donated...but some "toy"s I just cannot part with. Lol
