He is a liar

Satan has a way of convincing us that we are not one of God's children.

He will say that you are not worthy.
You are not good enough.
You will never amount to anything.
You will never be happy.
You can never do "that."
You don't deserve "it."
Who could ever love you?
You are not smart enough.
You are not pretty enough.
You are too fat.
You work hard, you deserve "it."
Go ahead. No one will ever know.
It's just a little white lie.
More money will make you happier.
Me, me,, my, my...
It's all about you!

So not the case.  We are here because we were chosen by the Creator.  Each one of us has a purpose in His Kingdom.  Your life is worth something and don't let anyone tell you differently.  Not even yourself.  The mind is a dangerous place when we sit in the "dark."  Satan knows this and lives to taunt and deceive us.

Reading God's promises helps to rebuke the lies of the Devil.  He is a liar.
Feeling abandoned by my birth father as a young girl, being distant from my mom as a teenager, and various other pitfalls in my life gave the devil an opportunity to get inside my head.  He remained there for many years.  I did not grow up in the Church and the word was not taught in my household.

Once I discovered who I was in Christ Jesus, the devil packed up his belongings and moved on.  Not to say that he doesn't check on me from time to time to see if I'm still grounded in the word of God, but with my FAITH and my Lord and Savior walking beside me, I am surely not as vulnerable as I once was.  If I've learned nothing thus far, I've learned that the word of GOD is true and that I stand on solid ground knowing that he loves me. I AM WORTHY and so are YOU! There is no favoritism with God.

Psalm 56:3-4
When I am afraid, I will trust in you.
In God I trust; I will not be afraid.
What can mortal man do to me?

Love for a great day!

Good Morning China Sweetie...
Oh Amen and Amen on this post. You hit the nail right on the head of Satan. I love it.

It is a sunshiny day here at Country Wings in Phoenix. Supposed to be about 93 degrees. Another hot one in the desert.

I saw the kids yesterday and today is a day of putting things back together for me. I have been painting and working on the front bedroom. (Our daughter and her 2 girls finally got a place of their own. Praise God.) So I have been painting and redecorating, and today I am putting it all back together. I can't wait.

I hope you have a gorgeous day. I know the sun is shining in your heart. It always shines through on your posts sweet friend. I am working on your gift of love still. It takes time in between gluings, but I am most pleased and I know you will be too when your box arrives. Hope to have it mailed in the next week.

Many hugs dear friend and SO much love, Sherry

Good morning ladies and Happy Monday!

Sweet Sherry, please don't worry about getting "my special gift" in the mail. Lord willing, I'll be around for a while. Lol

I love kids, but I love it more when they are mature enough to move out and begin a life of discovering and learning. It's a sure sign that God is ready to bless their lives in a special way and to move them into a more dependent relationship with Him.

Enjoy the decorating...I love to decorate and create a magical space that speaks to my spirit.

My Lady, thank you for the compliment. I wrote that poem while sitting by the window admiring the colors of Spring. Stopping to take notice that things are in bloom and that my heart is open to whatever the possiblities may be. So not like last winter where I hid myself inside. Lol

The Devil is not happy about our JOY and that's exactly why we have to KEEP spreading the LOVE around!

Love for a great day.

Life is wonderful and should be enjoyed.:)

My Lady, you are toooooo sweet.

The poem on my poetry blog was not true. I have a "gift" of taking one word and turning it into a bittersweet ending. I have a short story book that I have yet to publish and all the stories in it will have a cliffhanger ending...Lol

MY Beach view does in deed lift my spirits each and everyday and having someone to share it with would be awesome, but there are no sad faces allowed on the beach. I'm happier than I've ever been, whether "he texts" me or not! ;-)

Love you dearly....
