What's your "Happy Cow" moment?

Has anyone seen the Happy/Laughing Cow commercials w/the cute girl? I love the one where she's had a hectic day at work, gets off just in time to catch the bus. Gets home and puts her feet up to relax, grabs the remote control and realizes that she actually "drove to work" that day! (or something like that)

Anyway, I had a moment like that yesterday! I had just finished my crime meeting and was in such a good mood, I decided to treat myself to lunch. There's NEVER any parking in the city, so I decided to hit a fast food drive in (blah...) As I'm driving down 5th St., NW, I see my favorite spot to the left and a parking space to the right.

Unbelievable, I thought, while talking on my cell phone. I immediately stopped in the middle of the street and made an unauthorized u-turn. After squeezing the car in and working up a little sweat, I got out, hit the alarm and strolled across the street. I was just a smiling and switching. I had on my new Jessica Simpson pumps and I felt great (smile).

Anyway, I walked in and there was no wait. I got a great seat by the window and all eyes were on me. I'd gotten my hair done this past Friday and I was looking hot! Got the menu, glanced over it, trying to figure out what it was I was actually craving and decided on a Turkey Burger & sweet potatoe fries (yummy)!

I just had to call my friend and tell him about the luck I'd just encountered. And while searching through my bag, I noticed that I did not have my "WALLET." No credit/debit card, no cash, no checks; just a big smile. I burst into laughter so hard, tears came to my eyes and again, all eyes were on me.

I was "NOT" leaving my favorite spot w/out a Turkey burger. THANK GOD for BFF. I called mine, and he brought me $20.00

I too ended up at a register with no money, except that I had a cart full of groceries and had had a very frazzled day. Since I had no cash or checks I tried to use ATM card but for the life of me could not remember my PIN. I burst into tears and left all my groceries. Got home and remembered my number as soon as the pressure was off. It was horrible and not something I'd ever want to repeat. Although now I think I would have handled it differently. I was much younger then.

Thank you for your many prayers and this morning thank you for making me smile. I can just see you strolling across in your pumps, order some lunch, and then find out you have no money. Thank goodness for BFF and $20.00. It would have been ashame to have left without your lunch. I have been wondering myself if I could do this write these letters to this BLOG, run my blog and be good at it. I pray every day as I read and write. I know God has a plan for every one of us. Thank you for stopping by. Love, Sherry

I'd be lying if I didn't say I got stuck on the part about you switching across the street with your jeans fitting just right. I have an image that I can't share with the world *smile*.

Another thing, I've never had sweet potatoe fries. Yum Yum, that sounds good,I wish I was there. But since I never have any money I wonder if your Bff would have hit me with a 10spot.

Lets get back to that image. Now tell me, I see the pumps and how they "stand you up" - okay. I can hear the beep beep of the alarm and you looking back like, "yeah, that's mine" - okay. I can see you strolling like "I know I look good (you said that) - okay. Now, what color were the shoes and were you packing a pistol?

See, I am just trying to get this whole picture right, since you laid it out there. Right now I have an image of Foxy Brown meeting Shaft while walking across 110 street *lol*.

I locked my keys in the car at the grocery store one time. My husband and I usually went shopping together so we could divide and conquer the little kid woes (my boys we 1 and 4 at the time) in the store. Well this time I went by myself and was so proud, my little guys and I got all the shopping done, checked out with out anybody crying or whining and then I realized I could not find the keys.

So there I was two little guys and huge cart of groceries, oh and did I mention it was a hot summer day, and no keys. I had to call my mother in law on the pay phone (way before I had a cell phone)and see if she could stop by the house to get the extra set of keys. So 45 minutes later we were all hot and grumpy and not ready to go grocery shopping any time soon.

LOL! This is too funny...I have had a moment similar...my friends tell me I have "mommy" brain (meaning I'm often going in too many directions to think about one thing!)

As typical...I'm racing out the door...heading to work, daycare, summercamp...the morning routine. I'm running late as usual. Got the kids backpacks, lunches and my gym bag. To make a long story short...I got pulled over by the cops for speeding...I couldn't argue with the man cause I was...I go to get my licence and realize...I left my purse at home...I just looked at the cop and I think he knew I was having "one of those" mornings and he let me go...I had to go all the way back home to grab my purse and start the morning drive all over again...oh yeah...did I mention that was just Monday? LOL
