Your heart's desire...

Psalm 20:4 May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.

Romans 12:6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given us.

I once heard Joel Osteen say that GOD would not put a dream in our hearts if we weren't already equipped to fulfil them.

I so believe in this. That burning desire that you have, the unexplained talent, a uniqueness all your own; we like to say that it came from our parent(s). Some egos may claim that "they" achieve success on their own. But the Lord created and distributed those gifts long before we were born.

I know some of the dreams that you have. Tammy wants to publish her book, PAK ART wants to write a Romance Novel, Stacye just launched her Candle business, and I have two books that I forwarded to the Library of Congress just in case I go to Heaven before my work is published (smile)

Whatever your Dreams are, GO FOR IT. Don't be afraid to fail or even Succeed! The Lord is guiding your heart and HE will see it come to pass! Search inside yourself and see what it is your heart desires, even if it's just to live a simple but happy life; then that's what I want for you too.

Your dreams and desires too. God loves you and cares for you and wants what is best for you. That doesn't mean He never allows us to be tested though. Sometimes I wonder if God is allowing me to be tested when life gets rough, then I do my best to remain firm, steadfast and ready. Secretly I pray sometimes that He won't allow me to be tested though because how awful that could be!

I think for me, my creative bent began to outshadow my love for God. For a long time I've had this driving need to create, to make or do something worthwhile, when God was calling me to find who I am in Him. I needed to just 'be' with Him and quit all the do, do, doing for awhile.

So, I hold creative things lightly and pursue them, but not with that need to find who I am through them. Right now I want to consentrate on raising my boys. So I pitter away at what I like to do. That may take a more serious bend when my kids are grown.

Forgot to comment on your other blog. Writing should come out from the heart, that's always the real stuff, words that ring true from our own experiences. I'm sure you have a lot to share.

It was so good to hear from you. I know God is molding and preparing for the gift to come. Hold on! And, hold on to the dream too. Loved the post, as I'm holding on to my dreams as well.
