My favorite things....

Today's ladies luncheon was sponsored by my Pastor's wife, Mrs. Pat Dickens, and the theme was "favorite things." She wanted us to take a day to enjoy the things we as women often put to the side to care for our family. We had to bring our favorite dish. Some of my favorite foods are Sushi, Chinese and Seafood. Since I can't make any of those things; I bought some bar-b-que chicken (LOL). We played a really fun game where you had one minute to talk about your favorite things and there were 3 words that you couldn't use. In the end, some of the women read their favorite verses and this was Mrs. Dickens...

Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Now it's once of my favorites too!

Love, peace and continued blessings!

Just hearing that phrase "a few of my favorite things" makes me think of Swiss Mountains, children singing and Adelweis. I have so many favorite things, but homemade tacos and seafood are high on the list of favorite foods.

I think of that song from Sound of Music too.

BQ chicken sounds good. Hmm, my favorite food - pasties (a type of meat and veggie pie without the pan) that my mom used to make.

That is a really good verse, one that reminds us where are thoughts should be.

Love ya,
Jen
