You can do or be whatever you want in your own life. Nothing can stop you, except your own fears. Don't blame anyone else... you have the power to make the decision. "Just do it."

Author, Nola Diamantopoulos

PS. Does it really matter who the author is?
This is something your authentic self already knows.
When was the last time you spoke to him/her?

Love for a great day!

This post is really for me. I just wanted to share it with you. I have a job that's draining my spirit and lately, I've been hiding in my shell. My protective shell that "Cancers" are known to retreat to. The last two days have been simply gorgeous and I have spent them in the house on the sofa. I was too tired to do anything. I had all these creative and exciting things I wanted to do and or try and I just couldn't find the motivation or energy to get up and move. That's one of the reasons that I know GOD is near. I never really liked dogs and somehow, I got stuck with a German Sheperd after the divorce. (lol) He keeps me from getting bed sores and from being a couch potato so to speak. I have to cater to him; he wouldn't have it any other way. I have to show him some love and attention and I have to walk him. I didn't do anything special, but we did walk for the past two days and as always, the butterflies were out and about, fluttering past me and around me. They somehow seek me out and remind me how great life is and that we need to enjoy it and keep moving forward. Don't get stuck and don't give in. Sometimes life can seem like a movie that you've seen time and time again. But if you change the channel or turn the movie off, you "will" discover that there's more to "see." I know that this too, shall pass. I just wanted to share the feelings I've been carrying the past couple of weeks in the day and life of a Detective Sergeant.

Love for a great day!

Well Miss Sergeant Butterfly, I am not a doctor but I think you need a good man *lol*.

Fido can't talk back and you have much to share. Now I know why you couldn't throw me a pillow.

I was about to get silly and say something about one of the tools of your trade but this wouldn't be the right place nor the right time.

That should be reserved for a whisper behind closed doors *lol*

The Director at my work has a sign hanging in his office that says "It is What it is." There are some things you can change and you should if it's in your ability and there are some things that are the way they are. I try not to beat up on myself too much when I'm in the "can't change a thing" mode. It happens.

I don't know what to say?

In a funk today, trying to overcome. There's always tomorrow, because I'm still in that funk.

Hey sis I've been there, and according to some recent reports, I'm there now. Knowing God is there is key. I'm glad you've got your requiring you to be active. Much better a dog that wants the same things consistently than a person piling there issues on yours.

Hey sis, maybe it's not a cancer, but a cocoon.

I'm definitely with you and the draining job situation. I left early today because I just did not want to be there and couldn't take it.

I think we all have our moments. Like you said, "This too shall pass."

I can so relate about having so many creative and exciting things or projects to do and not have the motivation and/or the energy. Sometimes I wonder how can I get pass that mole hill that hinders me so. Thanks so much for sharing. I really needed to read this. Blessings to you!!

I thought I had left a really long comment on your blog, maybe it just never went through, or maybe you deleted it.

But know that you're loved.

I checked out your last poem. Lots of tough questions. Is there only one thats true?
